July 2021: Our Pineapple Farm in the News
July 13, 2021Panamanian Pineapple’s Sweet Journey to China
September 14, 2021Their Olympics medal count may got stuck at zero, but Panama is very much open for business again, with daily life returning to the pre-COVID times. Hotels are welcoming tourists, restaurants & bars are bustling, and the economy is growing again.
In fact, the IMF has stated that “Panama’s economy remains among the most dynamic and stable in Latin America” and predicts Panama’s economy will grow by 12.5% this year. The World Bank also forecasts that Panama will be among the leaders in Latin America with an economic rebound in 2021 of 9.9%.
Our Colorada Fresh Pineapples farm is thriving too, and we’re doubling our production again this year. Our (sold out) beachfront land banking opportunity attracted several investors from North America in recent months. We’re currently finalizing the master plan for the next project in the beautiful (yet affordable!) Belen market area, the Playa Belen Eco Resort & Marina.
Panama is also seeing an increased interest from North Americans looking to move here. The country was already the #1 destination for North American retirees but is now increasingly popular with digital working nomads who enjoy the pleasant weather all-year-round, beautiful scenery, 1st class services, and beneficial tax regime.
The tropical climate means it’s always a great time to visit Panama, and as you can see from the short video below, there’s plenty to see and experience. Of course, you are more than welcome to visit our farm or the Belen area project sites as well with us.
Panama’s president has pretty much ruled out any new lockdowns or restrictions. Experts even suggest that Panama could be the first (in the world) to reach herd immunity, as the country successfully emerges from the COVID crisis.
Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information on any of our projects.
