News: Panama Pineapple Farmers Have Formed a Growers Alliance
November 3, 2021December 2021 Farm End of Year Update
December 22, 2021Below is a short 2-minute video update recorded inside the phase 3 area of our farm. It’s worth watching to the end if you’d like to see how we cut our fresh pineapples on the farm here in Panama.
We’re delighted to report that the first phase 3 harvest is yielding larger, size 5, pineapples. This premium size pineapple allows us to expand into new high-end air shipment markets in Europe. We’re also continuing to export more pineapples via our new Caimito Fruits growers alliance brand.
Meanwhile, planting is continuing at 30,000 seed stocks per week on the phase 3 lots of the investors who recently joined us.
We mentioned before that pineapples grown in the La Chorerra region of Panama are known for their naturally sweet flavor and high Brix level. This is due to the unique microclimate and soil conditions. Our clients and end consumers regularly send us positive feedback on the quality of our pineapples while every investor visiting our farm claims “they’re the best pineapples they’ve ever tasted”.
But it’s not just our own words making these claims. Fresh Plaza’s latest Pineapple Market Overview also states that the best quality pineapples in the world are found in Panama in the months from April to January. This is why we can export premium pineapples pretty much all year round!
Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information or to receive the lot plan of the last available phase 3 lots.
