December Pineapple Farm Update – Wishing You Happy Holidays
December 21, 2018Latam Invest Co Update – Panama like you’ve never seen it before
January 25, 2019Below is this year’s first short (3 min) video update from the farm.
In this video our new Chief Agricultural Engineer, Guillermo JimΓ©nez, talks you through the latest progress in various parts of the farm. Guillermo has overseen all aspects of running 1,500 hectare to 6,500+ hectare (1 hectare is 2.4 acres) pineapple farms in Costa Rica (leader in Pineapple production) and the Philippines for industry giant Del Monte, so his insight and experience in obtaining superior crop yields is invaluable to our project.
In the video you’ll also see the first plants flowering, i.e. they’re starting to produce the pineapple fruit (see image).
These flowering plants are part of our first investor lots, and these investors should see their first harvest in May.
We hosted two more farm tours last week, with another one planned for later this week. With the summer and dry season in full flow, we cannot stress enough what a great time of the year it is to visit Panama and the farm. So don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want to come and visit yourself.
Don’t just take our word for it, Vogue Magazine featured “Why Panama Is the Place to Go in 2019” earlier this month (read the full article on their website here)
